Loved it. Reasonable prices, fast service and good food

Definitely my favorite Mexican food in Alpine. I usually the shrimp burrito, but everything else I've tried is always yummy 😊👍

Just moved up to Alpine and tried this spot and I was not disappointed! California burrito was bomb rolled tacos and tamale were delicious and the best part the prices are amazing. taco stands are my favorite places to eat only gripe is they don't use fresh avocados but the carne asada makes up for that!

My wife just came here to pick up a small to-go order. She was cut in line by a rude man who was demanding to be helped first, even though they were both picking up to-go orders and my wife was before him in line.The woman behind the counter was aware of this whole interaction and still helped the other man first. Also several people were congregating inside and not wearing masks. In the middle of a pandemic.Food was good though

Favorite Mexican food place in alpine!

The food is tasty and hot. I've had the enchilada(cheese) chili relleno. Had the salsas that they provide. I have also had the beef tacos. Very crispy and delicious

I have been eating at Alpine Taco Shop for 20 years and obviously then love it. Their rice and shredded beef and their potato tacos are some of my favorites, and they have good salsas and hot carrots with peppers and onions. This is what a great family-run So Cal taco shop should be.

Good price. Great flavor. Perfect portion size. Friendly service.Everything was good. No complaints whatsoever. I wish every taco shop could be like this place. If I lived closer, I would be here more often. I ordered the Al Pastor. It had that great kind of crunch to the meat. Very recognizable flavor. It was just a little hard to find. But I'm finding that these are typically the best places to eat. The face of the shop was perpendicular to the street so it's not facing the street and very easy to pass if you don't know what you are looking for. I used to live in alpine 20 years ago and occasionally I return so I know some places but I'm glad I choose this one while passing through.

Great food with loads of flavor. Staff is super friendly. They have a self-serve salsa/cilantro/hot carrots bar which is nice. Perfect example of a hole-in-the-wall Authentic California Mexican food place. Their California Burritos and fries are awesome! They also have AC in the summer :)

Shrimp a diabala was too spicy. I know it is supposed to be. But this was over the top. I think it is also more expensive than Al Ponchos. Al Ponchos has much better ambience and they also have beer and wine. Also, I got sick. My husband didn't so maybe it wasn't the food because he got the same thing.

This place has extraordinary service as well as enjoyable menu. One of my favourite places around here. The meals arrived quickly and the prices were reasonable. Recommended.

Nice staff. Lots of choices. Tasty food. Outside tables- the reason we stopped there while out for a drive.

Street Tacos & Chicken Taco Salad was fabulous! We were able to park across the street with our Trailer in tow. A perfect lunch!

Very good Mexican food with very fresh tortillas and cheese. You may not think either of these ingredients are very different when they are fresh vs a few days old, but you can taste the freshness here. Very good.

One of the TOP BEST Mexican Shops, hands down, in San Diego County! Which is very limited. I’ve been through out San Diego City areas, and can say, for the affordable pricing, the quality of food and taste, is up to par! They’re definitely under charging for the quality of food, compared to their competitors surrounding them, that comes no where near to this gem.

Prices are reasonable and burrito was good too. Not great but good. Staff was very friendly.

This is my go to place for a great food fix , never had a bad meal here and for a small place there are tons of choices. I highly recommend going there and pick up a menu to take home ( you can call in an order and pick it up within 15 min. ) and their sauce area works for every taste.
